Super Mario Odyssey: 10 Pro Tips to Master Movement and Find Every Power Moon

1. Master the Cap Throw and Capture

The cap throw is your most versatile move. Press Y to throw Cappy, and you can aim mid-air. Use it to stun enemies, hit switches, or capture objects and creatures. Capturing is key: each enemy has unique abilities. For example, capture a Bullet Bill to break walls, a Pokio to peck weak points, or a Sherm to blast through obstacles. Practice the quick throw-and-dive to extend your jumps.

2. Learn the Triple Jump and Dive

The triple jump (running and pressing jump three times) gives you height, but combining it with a dive (ZR while mid-air) extends your distance. This combo is critical for reaching far platforms and skipping sections. Master the dive after a roll or a ground pound to chain moves smoothly.
